Local Law Permits
Permits to Burn not issued during the Fire Danger Period.
City of Ballarat's Fire Danger Period began Monday 24th November 2025. Permits to Burn cannot be issued during the Fire Danger Period unless it is for the purpose of broad-acre burning of stubble and grass for farming purposes. Contact the City of Ballarat's Fire Prevention Officer for more information on 5320 5500.

Register a Proposed Health PremisesThe Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 regulates the registration of prescribed accommodation, beauty therapy, colonic irrigation, hairdressing, skin penetration and tattooing in Victoria. All businesses offering these services must be registered with the Council in which their business operates.
