Ballarat Centre Against Sexual Assault
CASA provides free and confidential counselling and support for victims/survivors of past or recent sexual assault. The service is available for women, men, girls and boys. This is a gay and lesbian inclusive facility.

Services include
- Support for non-offending family members, partners and friends
- Advocacy
- Groupwork
- Information about legal and medical issues and referral to appropriate services
- Professional consultation and training
- General information about sexual assault and related issues
- Treatment for problem sexual behaviour and sexually abusive behaviours in children and young people

Centacare Victims Assistance and Counselling Prog
Centacare’s Victims Assistance and Counselling Program (VACP) provides information and practical support to victims, their families or anyone affected by violent crime, such as family violence, sexual assault, physical assault and homicide.

Referral is via the Centacare VACP intake and assessment process.

Referrals can be made by self, family, police, solicitors, courts, community service organisations, health professionals.

Victims are assigned a case manager and depending on their needs VACP support workers can:

• Refer to other services, such as solicitors, medical and mental health.
• Provide criminal justice information, advocacy, support in making statements with police and courts.
• Provide support at court and VOCAT hearings.
• Provide assistance with preparing Victim Impact Statements and submissions to the Adult Parole Board.
• Refer to counseling and other therapeutic interventions.

Child & Family Services Ballarat Inc
Child & Family Services (CAFS) is a community service organisation that provides a range of programs and services to children, young people and families who are vulnerable or in need of support. Main service areas include: family and early childhood services; out of home care and support services; homelessness assistance and community services; family violence intervention and family support programs.

CAFS provides a number of services which include Family Services; in-home support, Day Stay Program, parenting and mentoring groups; Parenting Assistance and Skills Development Services (PADSD) for families referred by Child Protection, Families First & Child FIRST; Out of home care and support services; Family Violence Intervention & Family Support Programs, Housing Support Services, Gambler's Help Service, Financial Counselling, PACT programs (Housing advocacy and support), VCAT Duty Service.

WRISC Family Violence Support Inc
WRISC provides free and confidential support for women and children who are experiencing family violence. This support service is provided by women for women and children.

An outreach service can be provided to clients in Ballarat and outlying areas. WRISC also has indigenous workers to provide culturally sensitive support. WRISC has support groups for women and art therapy groups for children. Individual counselling is available for children.

WRISC does not operate an after-hours service, women can contact the Women's Domestic Violence Crisis Service (WDVCS) on 1800 015 188 should they need assistance after hours.
